The rules of racing adopted by the Texas Racing Commission and Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie govern all races run at Lone Star Park.  Nominations to these stakes are received only with the understanding that the association reserves the right to refuse the nomination without notice to the subscriber. No nomination will be received except upon this condition. All disputes, claims and objections arising out of the race or with respect to the interpretation of the conditions of any stakes shall be decided by the association or those whom they may appoint and their decision upon all points shall be final.

    Lone Star Park reserves the right to divide the races in any manner advisable with the total purse under these conditions divided proportionately, to reduce the amount of added or guaranteed money, or to cancel this stake at any time prior to the running thereof, without liability except for the return of the nomination and entry fees. 

Nominations are made with the understanding that said nomination does not assure stall space for horse nominated. Application for stable space must be made to and approved by the Lone Star Park stall committee. 

     Earnings as reported by Equibase will be used when determining the preference of horses based on earnings, if applicable. The maximum number of starters in any race shall be limited to the number of starting positions afforded by the Lone Star Park Racing Secretary of their designation of maximum field size for specified race condition.
    In nominating for the stake, subscriber assumes all risk of loss, damage or injury to persons, animals or property employed, owned or used by subscriber on Lone Star Park premises and releases Lone Star Park from all such claims whether arising from negligence or otherwise.  Subscriber, for himself, his agents and his employees hereby assign to Lone Star Park any and all right to motion pictures, television and radio broadcasting in connection with this race. Scheduled payments are subject to grace periods for mailing with a postmark and 7 day grace period to be delivered. 

     Time Trials: Each time trial shall consist of no more than twelve (12) horses. The time trials shall be raced under the same conditions as the stakes. If time trials are held on the same day, the top twelve (12) fastest times qualify will have first-preference to start in the finals. If time trials are held on two (2) days, horses with the six (6) fastest times on the first trial day and the horses with the six(6) fastest times on the second trial day qualify will have first-preference to start in the finals. 

Horses qualify on the basis of time in the trials. The finish times of horses in trial races are determined only to the thousandth of a second. The sole exception of the preceding is when two (2) or more horses have identical times in the same trial race, then order of finish shall also determine preference in qualifying for the finals. 

     Should two (2) or more trial horses have the same qualifying time (to the thousandth of a second) for the finals, a draw by random lot shall be conducted under the auspices of the Board of Stewards. Under no circumstances shall a horse qualify that was placed by order of finish behind another horse, except due to disqualification.

     During the running of time trials, should a horse be disqualified due to interference, it shall receive the time of the horse it is immediately placed behind plus one-thousandth (0.001) of second. 

     No change will be made in the recorded times of time trials to account for head, tail & cross winds, track condition, etc. Should the electronic timer device malfunction during any time trial, finalist from that particular trial race will be determined by official hand timing. Hand timing will be conducted by three (3) licensed Racing Officials. The average of three times will be used on the winning times, unless one is clearly wrong, then the average time will be based on the two (2) remaining times. In all cases, Stewards of Lone Star Park will make final decision concerning hand times. 

     Also-eligible: There will be no also-eligible list for the finals. If a disqualification arises due to a positive post race test or ineligibility of a horse due to a rules violation, the next fastest qualifier shall move up in preference to be entered into the finals. Any horse which ran in the trials and didn’t have one of the twelve(12) fastest times in the trials will remain eligible to enter and compete in the finals.   The fastest-twelve(12) horses in qualifying order that enter to run back in the finals will comprise the field for the Claimers Cup Dash finals.

     Finals purse will be derived from the number of nominations, number of entrants into trials, number of entrants into the finals.  Signing below signifies the interested parties making the nomination into the 2022 Claimers Cup Dash are in complete and full agreement of all the terms and conditions of this nomination in order to compete in the 2022 Claimers Cup races.
